What a Weekend!!!

Whats up fam, this is the first of many blogs!

This weekend was a very BUSY weekend for me, I had to MC 3 events in Columbia. My Saturday started at Brookland Baptist Banquet and Conference Center for the 11th Annual "African American Pre Holiday Shopping Event", it was a great turn out and with great entertainment, met a lot of interesting people and even picked up a new cover for my bible. Everything from children choirs, big choirs, solo's, step teams and more. The Columbia HIgh School girls and boys step teams showed up and showed out. Overall, that was a great event.

Now on to Saturday evening at Smooth's in Columbia. I was the MC for the "End of the Year Event" for Black Resource Mag.......the crowd, well, that's a whole new blog, the entertainment was great, but again, the crowd just wasn't there, don't know if it was because of the promotion or people just wasn't interested in the event it self or maybe they just wasn't interested in me....Lol....NOW THAT'S FUNNY!!!!!!!!! Okay, back to center, but as I mentioned before, the artists performances were great but, people were leaving when the performers were on stage. I just think the event was poorly promoted. Smooth's is a nice spot, you should check it out!!!!

Sunday, SUNDAY!!!!!! I was the MC for the benefit concert for Ms Adelia Harris, a 21 yr old who is in need of a heart transplant. This event was wonderful, great musical performances from Anya Dixon, Ty Williams and Company, V Lamar Wilson, Jabri Wade and others........pretty nice crowd, BUT the sound in Keenan theater was JACKED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thankfully all of the artists got through it, but it was a struggle!!!! Really enjoyed this event!!
